Lake Toba is a large natural lake in Indonesia located in the caldera of Mount Supervulkan. The lake has a length of 100 kilometers (62 miles), a width of 30 kilometers (19 mi), and a depth of 1600 meters (5200 ft). The lake is located in the center of the northern part of Sumatra Island with a surface height of around 900 meters (2953 ft). The lake stretches from 2.88 ° N 98.52 ° E to 2.35 ° N 99.1 ° E. This is the largest lake in Indonesia and the largest volcanic lake in the world.
