Kue lampet (sometimes pronounced as lappet cake), is a traditional Batak snack originating from Tapanuli. This cake is usually shaped like a pyramid and wrapped in banana leaves, the manufacturing process is not that complicated, starting with rice flour, grated coconut which is not too old, and mixed.

Following grated palm sugar or brown sugar, and enough water. After evenly spreading the entire dough, then wrapped in banana leaves, then steamed until cooked, and the process of making this cake is almost similar to making an ombusombus cake.
