Tinorangsak or tinoransak is a type of warm and spicy meat dish that uses a mixture of spices found in Manado cuisine from North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The most common meat used in tinorangsak is pork. For the halal version, other types of meat such as beef, daddy or seafood are also used. The spice mix includes pepper, onion or garlic, turmeric, lime leaves, lemongrass, lime juice, cooking oil and salt.
Tinorangsak is a common dish served in traditional Minahasa ceremonies. Traditionally, tinorangsak is cooked in bamboo sticks. Pieces of meat and spices are put into bamboo sticks and burned in an open fire. Usually, tinorangsak is served with nasi jaha, a rice dish cooked in a bamboo tube similar to lemang.
